What are the entry requirements? ▼

Prospective learners must hold a qualification at NFQ Level 4 or equivalent. You will also require a PPS number to enrol. If you're unsure whether you qualify, contact our team and we'll be happy to advise.

Are there language requirements? ▼

We'll survey your previous education during the application process. If there are concerns around English fluency, you may be asked to take a short assessment (targeting B2 Intermediate level). Your trainer will be informed to provide tailored support, and our system allows use of tools like Google Translate as you build confidence.

What digital access do I need? ▼

You'll need a computer or laptop with internet access (minimum 10mbps), a browser that accepts cookies (Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox), Adobe Reader, and a word processor such as MS Word or Google Docs. Some modules include video content.

When will I receive my QQI certificate? ▼

You'll receive provisional results within four weeks of submitting your assessments. QQI certifies results six times per year — in February, April, June, August, October and December. Certification typically takes five weeks to complete after the relevant period.

How long do I have to complete the course? ▼

For a Major Award at QQI Level 5, you have a maximum of 36 months from the date you start. Forus Training sets the pace at roughly 8 weeks per module, which is achievable for most learners.

Can I use previous experience or qualifications (RPL)? ▼

Yes. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) allows you to use existing skills, work experience, or earlier qualifications to gain exemptions or entry to the programme. Contact us at hello@forustraining.ie to discuss how RPL may apply to your situation.

Funding may be available through your employer, INTREO, or a CE scheme. If you're being funded by one of these, the payment plan options are not required. Contact us and we can help you explore the options available to you.
