The schools are located in:

  • Balbbriggan, Co. Dublin
  • City West, Co. Dublin
  • Monasterievin, Co. Kildare

The announcement represents an important and needed investment in educational opportunities for children with additional needs. The new schools will provide specialist educational environments for children with complex educational needs. They will also helping families access appropriate education closer to home.

For those interested in working as an SNA this expansion is also significant. New special schools require dedicated teams of teachers, SNAs and other education professionals to support their students.
