QQI Level 5 Care Skills (5N2770)

Care Skills is a Level 5 QQI accredited mandatory module of the Level 5 Healthcare Support Major Award which can also be completed as a standalone module. This minor award holds a credit value of 15 credits on the National Framework of Qualifications. This module is suitable for anyone who would like to begin a rewarding career in health or social care as a Healthcare Assistant.

QQI Level 5 Care of the Older Person (5N2706)

Care of the Older Person is also a Level 5 QQI accredited module of the Level 5 Healthcare Support Major Award which can also be completed as a standalone module. It is worth 15 credits on the National Framework of Qualifications. It discusses the issues and specific care requirements related to an older person with cognitive and sensory impairment, dementia, Parkinson’s disease, cardiovascular disease, stroke, or mental illness.

Eligibilty Criteria

Applicants who hold a Level 4 Certificate / Leaving Certificate (or equivalent) or who have relevant work experience are eligible to apply for this module.
